Apple and iPhones... We have had enough already!

iPhone users... Not the normal people, those other crazy people out there running around...

Just a small intermission before writing my next article. I simply have to say it.

What annoys me is not Apple, neither the iPhone. They make a product for a certain market and that is good. Its boring even thinking that we all could have only one option.

What annoys me however is Apple-boys running around saying iPhones are the best pieces of technology on the market.

Well. No. They are not. They might be better for some specific needs whilst Androids and Samsung are better for others.

Now the Apple-boys like to talk about stats, however the raw truth of it all in terms of pure tech is that Android and Samsung are simply better, despite who they are made for and what part of the market can warm up to them.

That is what annoys me. People running around acting like they own the world with their Apples. Its just, really annoying actually having to listen to them. And tiring. I mean, we all get annoyed by someone that gloats and boasts, so imagine how much we get annoyed by someone that gloats and boasts with no reason too?

No-body has a real problem or is actually making a big deal over iPhones apart from iPhone fans. And that is the saddening part. It is they that usually stroll about day in day out to make claims. If those claims held to some truth it would be still annoying to hear someone boast. But being a bunch of lies makes it irritating beyond belief at which point people will simply have to, as always, react and respond.

Windows 8 and 8.1. Should One Recommend It and Why?

So, is Windows 8 and 8.1 an
operating system worth
recommending?

The Short answer? Yes!

Why Recommend It?
"Why would they?" one would wonder. But I wonder, why not? Let's start there, the reasons why one shouldn't recommend Windows 8.

Back Again - Another Summer Vacation Gone...

Here we are once more, back from summer vacation, batteries re-stocked, energy refilled and ready to take on the rest of 2013 head on.

Hope 2013's summer vacation was an eventful and relaxing one for all. Hopefully the remainder of the year will be as eventful if not more.

With return from the holidays I took the liberty of taking some snips from work in progress as a sneak peek for Scionia, Chapter 2: Ellania, showcasing my new steps in venturing to create new characters, re-visiting the look and style of the City of Light, designing the bikes of the future and bringing the new and perhaps slightly updated look to the comic.

Apart from work being done on the chapter itself and the continuation of the adventure as seen in the sneak peeks, development for the new Archives Menu is also in progress for it's addition to the site soon enough.

On other news non-relevant to Scionia, my blog The Digital Creative Front now has it's own facebook page which will also archive previous articles and posts from the blog. In the meantime, after noticing a realtively hard to follow more-than-few articls in here, I will be also eventually editing older articles for easier and more pleasant reading (such changes will include titles for starters).

Here's to wishing everyone a great Autumn-Winter and a very productive closing 2013.

>> Merry X-Mas - Scionia Update

After fiddling around with some settings and resolutions I quickly realised that a small lack of detail (almost unnoticeable perhaps when quickly seen, but noticeable enough when the images are compared side by side) was present in the current images in the online version of the webcomic itself. This was perhaps a result to previous resolution changes to find the most desired size to my liking for the site. Also, I noticed that the writing is a little hard to read in the final resolutions in the site, or perhaps a little tiring.

For the above reasons changes are being made to the text in the first pages for a clearer and less tiring read on the eyes. Some resolution tweaks have been made as well to bring the clearer, sharper and more detailed drawings across to the medium.

The new pages will be uploaded in place of the old and existing pages with the next update, along with the new pages being currently made as well. The new pages are scheduled to be uploaded this Friday if everything goes well, it is Christmas Holidays after all and time for work is undoubtedly less ;)

Merry Christmas to all, and a Happy New Year :)

edit: (29/12/2012) site update is pushed back to next Friday. Christmas Holidays took the better of me after all and the new pages still need some work to be on the level that satisfies me ;)
Happy New Year!

FREE FOR ALL - Challenging Life Itself!

“How does free gaming and free filming help reach a change in the world?” The answer is simple.

We have been confined in a world created to suit a system that perhaps we have not all agreed on all the time, struggled with, sometimes perhaps came to question, and even come to confront.

We have been conditioned to see things in certain ways and come to deal with them or believe in them in either the form that “they are like that because they are” or “they are like that because that is how things work.” This conditioning has made us trust and have faith in a model not because we ourselves have dealt to question with it and design it, but because it is the standard, the mean, the prototype and the example that we are just used to and seldom challenge because so far it works. Or at least, it seems to work or has us believing it works.

The majority of the sources that support this model are also those that contribute the greatest in our conception that it works, and they are also at the same time the ones to profit most from it, and coincidentally enough for us, are also the biggest forms of influence in our life. Media!

Whether they be the cinema, television, radio or advertisements (outside those three major medias, from billboards to flyers to posters) that are used by companies, shops, products, and all forms of consumerism. Whatever has a gain in profit has a say in media, whatever isn’t free, needs to be advertised, whatever isn’t free needs to be bought, whatever need to be bought needs a job and jobs need again advertisement or any form of reaching the masses to sell a product. From a service to any other material convenience, it all helps to structure this model and soon enough before we know it we all live to either believe or encourage the notion that “nothing is free”.

Is this entirely true however? In some cases it might be, in some others it might not.

Back from the ashes...

Finally after a very long delay and absence from when this blog was first created, I am back to finish it and give it life at last.

Initially it all began with a place to share ideas on gaming, filming, technology and perhaps on my own works in progress, yet it matured into something else after almost the three years from the initial creation. Still on the same thoughts of sharing ideas on gaming, filming and technology, while showcasing works in progress became the primary goal now. The form of the blog now has shifted more into showing works in progress and updating on projects that are underway.

Times do indeed change. I had once hoped that one of my (perhaps ideas) or wishes for a future of a free market would go from idea into reality.
This all began in a time where it was somewhat laughed at as a thought. After almost a year of pondering on such things and the future of our world I came to want to share my thoughts. And so I came to the initial creation of this blog with the notion of spreading such an idea.
It seems however the world had already by then caught up to such a perspective and small companies or groups of people had began to move into that direction already. It seems perhaps great minds think alike after all?

We are finally in a time where the world is changing faster than I had hoped and thought, and such ideas as this help with this change. Three years later perhaps it all falls into place, in also what may seem to me as a prophetic or poetic way. People no longer struggle to understand or connect with a subject and the idea is reaching a mainstream point.
And so I return to complete my answer to that initial question, “How does free gaming and free filming help reach a change in the world?”

Creativity, Inspiration… and perhaps much much more…

A nice thought to be inspired. A nicer thought is that of he who inspires others. But what is greater than he who has the ability to summon that which many seem to neglect. Inspiration.

For it is not a momentary burst of emotion, it is an element as existent and as real as matter. A true creator uses his creativity, to summon inspiration in itself.

What is inspiration? It is our only creative connection with the eternal.

Having that said, there is perhaps nothing more creative than 3D animation. It is the future of expression within our current dimension of existence. A means of brining together all medias of audio and visual arts to one concentrated result.

The nature of Creatinspirativity is professional. The idea is to analyze the approaches for creating a positive change to others through the means of Digital Work. On a more professional note the idea is to transform gaming and filming into a free media that is actually funded by voluntary donations by the people. Making gaming and filming free, the thousands that sponsor a company that they believe in will establish the existence of a product that will be free to millions.

There is no doubt that the world is changing. Perhaps the greatest changes or say even the most difficult are before us still to come. It is without a doubt an age where even the most irrelevant ideas become relevant. It is a time where the attitude of ones approach in life, professionally and personally, changes the attitude of the many and gives for a chance into making something better of who we are on our own and with others.

So…. a question…. how does free gaming and free filming help reach this change? And how does that all help our world?

The answer is simple.
